RK’ers… Reckheds… Reckers… Reckless Kelly fans…. Good people of the world,

I come to you today for your help. This may totally get me in trouble, but there are some things that should be left unsaid if you believe in it that much. Now there are 2 people in this world (yes another 2 people list) those that calmly and politely get their voice heard and those that go down kicking and screaming. Although I’m pretty polite, I mean I use please and thank you like a motherf*cker, I’m going to kick and scream for this one. Well maybe ill at least raise my voice. Oh get on with it? Ok deal- you may have noticed or heard of the change to the right side of the RK stage (and middle, left, back, jumping around, far left… The boy gets around) playing bass. Let me first say that this in no way takes away from or discounts the charisma that is Jimmy Jam. He could never be replaced, him nor his hair. But I’ve been quietly standing beside you at shows and heard the “who the hell is this guy” and while the protective friend in me wants to reach over, shake you, and let you know you’ll be changing your tune by the end of the set; I don’t. Instead I enjoy my all knowing smirk. I say “all knowing” because it never fails that I hear “I like that new guy…” Followed by: “he is so happy!” That’s when I lean over and politely let you know his name is Adam Odor and yes he is amazing. Now, I am completely biased here, but I love him up on that stage with my other favorite guys! I had the pleasure of meeting Adam in early 2008… Or late 2007 if you will. We all rang in 2008 with a Reckless show in Austin the only way we knew how. With yuengling. He warmly greeted me with his great smile and we soon had myself 5 nicknames. Yuengling. Mmm. He has never let my first impression down. As someone once said he is “never jaded about anything” and I would say that he, if nothing else, is one of the most genuine people I know. So there you have my “I like Adam because…” speech. Here’s my “as if that wasn’t enough…” speech. You may have recognized his name. I pretty much always get “yeah I know that name somehow.”. He has engineered a couple Reckless cd’s, as well as Motorcars, Ragweed, and others. But you know what? Look it up. Forgetaboutit. I know I’ve rambled here but, like I mentioned, there are some things that shouldn’t be left unsaid. He has been an great addition if you ask me. The smile that never leaves his face his genuine. And I do believe your level of entertainment at a RK show has been upped just a bit. So here from the Team Odor fan club, I ask you to sign this “petition” to keep Adam Odor in Reckless Kelly. At the very least we can say that we enjoyed the last couple months with him. And, please, if you catch him at a show say hi. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
