A close look at Wicked Twisted Road
PSYCH!
Yes, verily, I sucketh. My explication is not quite done. Not because I'm a slacker (although I am) -- no, actually a lot of it is written. But, I'm a notoriously aggressive editor, and I wasn't going to slap through the finishing and then upload it with a lick and a promise.
And the reason I didn't have time to do my notorious editing is that I promised the world's most adorable 8-year-old that I would bake cookies for her class Valentine's Day party. Which is, yep, you guessed it, tomorrow.
Said 8-year-old was supposed to be my sous-chef and expedite the process by "helping," but she had some Very Important Things to take care of (i.e. clean her room before there was grounding and mayhem). So, I went it alone, and it took longer than I thought. I tried to write while the cookies were baking then cooling, but it didn't work for me; I write best in "the zone," when I sit in one place for three or four hours at a time with no interruptions, and then I stand up at the end with a perfectly polished piece. Then I was going to write it after, but here it is 1:00 am already and I only just tidied the kitchen.
Since I do have to work in the morning, I had to choose between cookies and the review -- and as much I like all you people, the 8-year-old is going to win every time.
So, I'll finish this weekend and then it will be a DA Valentine to you on Monday. And in the meantime, you can close this window and go back and check out the ass-kicking digital collateral that you can download courtesy of Sugar Hill and RK...
...and admire my tasty-looking cookies. They are butter cookies iced with a royal glaze and then topped with more icing and various candy and sugar sprinkles (see, I figure that the third grade teacher won't mind that I will be further jacking up a classroom full of already-sugar-addled children. Plus, these look like Valentine's Day cookies, don't you think? Shortbreads or plain ol' chocolate chip or whatever would have been Dullsville.)
Okay, see you back here on Monday.
